Life in Picture - Dec 2023

December felt like another lifetime ago. Well I guess that's what you get for trying to comb through photos almost 3 months later. But flicking through trying to find my favourites unearthed a whole bunch of photos I had completely forgotten about. There were beautiful ones of my wife and kids, life's quiet moments and event's fun moments.

The story that my photos tell me is that December was thoroughly and exhaustively festive. Festive family gatherings, work events, celebrations with friends and just the whole town putting on a show for Xmas.

I know that whilst our Xmases has shifted to giving and spending time rather than hoping to receive, the feeling and atmosphere of Xmas never grows old. In fact, I increasingly savour it every year that it passes. I take the time to notice the smallest decorations, the impending few weeks' work break, the energy people give off knowing they are winding down, and gatherings to celebrate just materialise from thin air. I trust and enjoy the fact that my December calendar each year will always fill itself with events brimming with family and friends, that I no longer plan anything and simply go with the flow.

The final story these photos share is that I have an endless amount to be grateful for and that I am.

Come enjoy my snaps for December 2023.
