Life in Pictures - June 2023

I'm now an official owner of a Ricoh GRIII thanks to my friend who loaned me this exact camera in May. Since owning the device I've become more accustomed with the features it offers, in particular the film filter recipes which give me various looks at the flick of a dial.

I've really fallen in love with the film look filters that the Ricoh is capable of. There is an enormous online community that shares both photos and filter recipes which are the settings they use to achieve certain looks. My go to for filter recipes is https://ricohrecipes.com/

For the most part, I've been taking photos casually and haven't tried to learn the technical side of photography. During a pub lunch, my mate Kwa who's a professional photographer (https://kphotography.pixieset.com/) taught me a valuable lesson in exposure and how when paired with auto-modes it can really improve the shots. This was simple but game changing for me and meant shots which were too dark could easily be resolved!

So, here's my June in pictures.

Indulging with decadent fresh black truffle and wagyu with the family
Arts and crafts for the little one
Enamoured in the lights from Vivid 2023
