cacophony of feet tapping down steps
hisses of steam from coffee machines
beeps of green pedestrian lights
dings of lift doors welcoming
dial tones of calls and conferences
pings from WhatsApp groups
the opener of a favourite podcast
snickering of gas stove lighting
giggles fill the cosy lounge
buzzing of toothbrush heads
flicking off the light switch
